The Cabinet has approved a consolidated national programme to uplift Sri Lanka’s youth through coordinated efforts across key ministries.
The initiative will be led by a newly appointed ministerial committee involving the Ministries of Youth Affairs and Sports; Education, Higher Education and Vocational Education; Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment and Tourism; and the Ministry of Digital Economy.
The programme aims to create a holistic framework that addresses vocational training, employment, and economic opportunities for young people.
The Youth Services Council, Youth Force, and Embilipitiya Leadership Development Centre will play central roles in empowering youth under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.
