The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation Chairman D. J. Rajakaruna stated that there will be no shortage of Petrol 92 and 95 until the end of June.
He noted that diesel supplies are sufficient until the end of May, based on confirmed shipments.
A total of 12 refined fuel shipments are scheduled to arrive in April.
A ship carrying 30,000 metric tons of furnace oil is expected on 13 April, with no need for power cuts.
He further stated that the QR-based fuel quota system for petrol vehicles is suspended until 18 April, while the ‘odd-even’ number plate system will continue.
