The Examinations Department announced on Wednesday (1) that it had decided to call applications for the 2022 General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level (O/L) Examination, which will have to be exclusively completed online.

The online portal will remain available till 12 midnight on 28 February 2023. Speaking to The Daily Morning, Department sources confirmed that school applicants need to submit their admissions through their respective school principals while private applicants will need to submit their applications privately, both through the official websites of the Department which are www.doenets.lk and/or www.onlineexams.gov.lk/eic. The Department announced that the relevant usernames and passwords of the school applicants have been relayed to the respective school principals.

Further information regarding the admission process is available on the Department’s online application “Exams Sri Lanka” and applicants are therefore advised to read the instructions carefully and clearly before submitting their admissions.

The applicants are furthermore required to obtain a physical copy (hard copy) of the application and have it available to be presented whenever required.
