The Turkish Naval Ship TCG BÜYÜKADA departed Sri Lanka after completing a formal goodwill visit. The vessel bid farewell with naval honours by the Sri Lanka Navy at the Port of Colombo.

Before departure, TCG BÜYÜKADA engaged in a Passage Exercise (PASSEX) with SLNS Gajabahu, which featured communication drills and tactical maneuvers, concluding with a traditional cheer ship salute.

During the visit, Turkish crew participated in sports events, visited Sri Lankan attractions, and hosted Navy personnel onboard. A key meeting between the Turkish Ambassador and Sri Lanka’s Navy Commander also took place, focusing on bilateral maritime cooperation.
