Sri Lanka Navy stated that five suspects were taken into custody during a deep-sea drug raid south of Devundara.

The operation was conducted jointly with the Sri Lanka Coast Guard and Sri Lanka Police based on intelligence analysis.

A local multi-day fishing vessel suspected of transporting a consignment of drugs was intercepted, and the suspects are being brought ashore for further investigation and legal action.
