The Court of Appeal has postponed the hearing of a petition filed by former State Intelligence Service (SIS) Director Suresh Sallay until 17 July.

The petition challenges his arrest and detention under the Prevention of Terrorism Act (PTA) in connection with investigations into the 2019 Easter Sunday attacks.

The court decision followed further submissions made by President’s Counsel Sanjeewa Jayawardena on behalf of Sallay.
