The official residence of former Minister Mahinda Amaraweera on Mahagama Sekara Mawatha in Colombo has been handed over to Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya in Colombo.
The former Minister had vacated his official residence last week following the new Government’s ascension to office. Amaraweera had told the media that the proposal to hand over the residence to Sirimavo Bandaranaike Vidyalaya had been presented by him to the former Government.
Stating that Cabinet approval had been granted by the former Government, Amaraweera had added that all necessary documentation had been completed for the transfer, which now allowed the school to use the building.
