The Sri Lanka Navy has seized a multi-day fishing trawler suspected of transporting narcotics and weapons in deep seas off the southern coast.

Navy Spokesman noted that the vessel is currently being escorted to shore for further investigation.

The Navy stated that further details regarding the seizure will be released in due course.
