Sanath Jayasuriya has been appointed as the head coach of the Sri Lanka Men's Cricket team until the 2026 T20 World Cup. 

The decision was made by the Executive Committee of Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC), recognising the team's strong performances during recent tours of India, England, and New Zealand, where Jayasuriya served as interim head coach. 

His appointment took effect on 1 October 2024 and will last until 31 March 2026.
