The Cabinet of Ministers has approved the procurement of 2.2 million vials of Biphasic Isophane Insulin (30% regular, 70% isophane) for diabetes treatment.
The decision follows a limited national competitive bidding process in which M/s M.J. Biopharma Private Limited was the sole respondent.
Based on the recommendations of the bid evaluation and higher-level standing procurement committees, the Health and Mass Media Minister’s proposal to award the contract to the said company was approved.
The insulin jabs are a critical component in the management of diabetes among patients across the country.
