The ‘‘National War Heroes’ Commemoration Ceremony’’ is scheduled to be held today (19), at the National War Heroes’ Monument in Battaramulla, continuing the tradition of honoring those who fought against terrorism.  

The event will be attended by President Anura Kumara Dissanayake and organized under the auspices of the Ranaviruseva Authority.  

Notably, for the first time, relatives of fallen soldiers from the Northern and Eastern provinces will participate in this year’s memorial, emphasising a nationwide recognition of their sacrifice.
