The Court of Appeal has fixed 6 August to hear former MP Hirunika Premachandra’s appeal Body - against her conviction and three-year rigorous imprisonment sentence.

Premachandra is seeking to overturn the Colombo High Court judgment over the 2015 abduction, assault and wrongful confinement of a shop employee in Dematagoda.
