Minister of Health (MOH), Nalinda Jayatissa, met with his Indian counterpart, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda, and Minister of State for Health, Smt. Anupriya Patel, in India yesterday (28).
The ministers held discussions on enhancing Sri Lanka's healthcare system, focusing on key areas such as strengthening primary healthcare, improving pharmaceutical supply chains, and advancing digital health infrastructure.
Minister Nadda shared India's experience in establishing 150,000 primary healthcare centers to combat non-communicable diseases.
During his visit, Minister Jayatissa is scheduled to observe India's healthcare initiatives firsthand.
