Residents of the Vadamarachchi coastal area in Jaffna were alarmed on Sunday morning after strong sea waves brought large amounts of white foam ashore near the Point Pedro landing site.

The unusual sight drew significant public attention, especially as the country continues to face adverse weather conditions. 

While many residents expressed concern, some were seen scooping up and playing with the foam along the beach.

Authorities have not yet issued any warnings related to the incident.
