Singer (Sri Lanka) PLC has entered into an agreement to acquire the factory premises of ACME Printing and Packaging PLC for Rs. 630 million, in a move aimed at expanding its local manufacturing operations.

The Sale and Purchase Agreement, executed on 28 April, covers the property located at Assessment No. 345, Gonamadiththa Road, Piliyandala, according to a disclosure filed with the Colombo Stock Exchange.

Singer said the acquisition is intended to strengthen its domestic production capacity, as the company positions itself to scale up local manufacturing.
