Indian High Commissioner Santosh Jha met Ceylon Workers Congress MP Jeevan Thondaman at India House in Colombo on 17 December to discuss the impact of Cyclone Ditwah and India’s humanitarian assistance to Sri Lanka.

Thondaman thanked the Indian government for its immediate support and briefed the envoy on the situation in upcountry and plantation areas affected by the disaster.

High Commissioner Jha assured continued Indian support for Sri Lanka’s recovery and reconstruction efforts following the cyclone.
