The Supreme Court of Sri Lanka has completed its first fully paperless oath-taking ceremony for attorneys-at-law.

A total of 735 attorneys took their oaths through the digital process over five days, using digital signatures to complete documentation.

The court said the initiative saved nearly 15,000 sheets of paper and forms part of the ongoing digitalisation of Sri Lanka's judicial system.
