Prasantha Vinod has secured a prize in the prestigious Wildlife Photographer of the Year Awards 2024, which was held in the Natural History Museum of London. 

The Sri Lankan photographer brought home the prize in the ‘Behaviour: Mammals’ category with a photograph of a young toque macaque peacefully sleeping in an adult’s arms. 

The photograph, titled ‘A Tranquil Moment’, was recognised for its portrayal of the challenges these monkeys face amid habitat loss and farmer conflicts.
