The National Building Research Organisation (NBRO) has issued early landslide warnings for several areas in two districts within the Central Province. The warning, issued at 6:00 a.m. today (13), will remain in effect for the next 24 hours.

Level 2 (Amber) Warning — Caution Advised: 

Nuwara Eliya District: Walapane and Nildandahinna Divisional Secretariat Divisions and surrounding areas

Level 1 (Yellow) Warning — Stay Watchful: 

Kandy District: Pathahewaheta Divisional Secretariat Division and surrounding areas

Residents in these areas are advised to remain cautious and vigilant to ensure safety during this period of potential landslide activity.
