More than 200 Iranian nationals held at detention centres in Sri Lanka have departed the island on a special flight yesterday (14), according to Deputy Defence Minister Aruna Jayasekara.

The group included 32 crew members rescued from the IRIS Dena and 208 crew members of IRIS Bushehr, who had been accommodated in the country.

Authorities stated that the group left for Iran on a special Turkish flight yesterday evening.
