Prime Minister (PM) Harini Amarasuriya says around 20,000 children drop out of school each year in Sri Lanka, citing research by the Education Ministry.

In talks with Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith, she discussed reforms to address dropout rates and improve career pathways.

The Cardinal emphasized the need for an education system that nurtures students’ talents and equips them with technological skills for employment.
