A double murder had been committed in the Nawelagama area yesterday (04).

A couple was killed by their grandson, who had attacked them with a sharp object due to their refusal of lending them money.

The male and female victims were 75 and 69 years old respectively.

The bodies have been placed in the Badulla and Demodara hospitals, and the police have arrested the alleged suspect.
