CTU criticises education reforms as rushed and unprepared

Teachers’ unions have criticised the government’s new education reform program, calling it poorly planned and rushed.

CTU Secretary Joseph Stalin noted that key resources, including teachers’ guides, have not been fully issued, and training has covered only the first term.

He also warned the reforms could widen gaps between urban and rural schools, citing Grade One textbooks with 42 QR codes that many rural students cannot access due to limited digital infrastructure.
