The International Monetary Fund (IMF) has reviewed Sri Lanka’s public revenue reform programme during discussions with the Revenue Administration Reform and Modernisation Bureau at the Presidential Secretariat.
The meeting focused on reforms to tax administration, customs, excise management and the Medium-Term Revenue Strategy.
The IMF highlighted the importance of digital transformation, data integration and expanding the tax base.
It also agreed to continue providing technical assistance for reforms at Sri Lanka Customs, the Inland Revenue Department and the Department of Excise.
