The Norochcholai Power Plant is expected to resume electricity generation tomorrow (22), potentially ending scheduled power cuts across Sri Lanka, according to the National System Operator (NSO).

Scheduled power cuts will continue today (21) following the plant’s shutdown after a nationwide power outage last Saturday.

The NSO stated that the plant could be reconnected to the national grid tomorrow if operations resume as expected.
