Ramith Rambukwella, son of former Health Minister Keheliya Rambukwella, was arrested today (21) by the Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC).

The arrest came after he appeared before CIABOC to provide a statement, following a court order issued on 20 May allowing authorities to name him as a suspect in the corruption probe involving his father.

Former Minister Keheliya Rambukwella remains in remand custody until 3 June, as ordered by Colombo Chief Magistrate Thanuja Lakmali in connection with 3 complaints filed by CIABOC.
