- The Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL) has announced that scheduled power cuts will continue today (21) in four zones, with electricity supply to be interrupted for one hour per zone between 4.30 p.m. and 9.00 p.m.

PUCSL Director of Corporate Communications Jayanath Herath stated that the commission approved the proposal submitted by National System Operations (Private) Limited on 19 October.

Meanwhile, Electricity Consumers’ Association Chairman M.D.R. Athula noted that some areas had experienced power cuts lasting more than five hours, despite the announced one-hour duration.
