The Cabinet has approved the revival of the National Productivity Award Competition from 2025/26 under the sectors of schools, public services, production, and services. 

Established in 2003, the competition aims to promote efficiency, quality, and sustainability in institutions. 

Last held in 2020, it will now align with the "Clean Sri Lanka" initiative for national development.
