The Public Health Inspectors' Union of Sri Lanka has warned the public about individuals impersonating Public Health Inspectors (PHIs) to fraudulently collect money.
The Union stated that the scams are often linked to dengue prevention inspections, with fraudsters demanding payments while claiming to carry out official duties.
The public has been reminded that PHIs do not collect money under any circumstances and urged to report anyone requesting payments while claiming to be a PHI to the police and relevant authorities.
