Milco employees bailed for holding Chair captive

The 13 employees of Milco (Pvt.) Ltd., arrested on Wednesday (25) for holding Milco Chairman Renuka Perera against his will, have been granted bail on orders of the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court.

Accordingly, the group was released yesterday (26) on a surety bail of Rs. 500,000 each.

Thirteen Milco employees were arrested by the Kollupitiya Police on Wednesday night for holding Perera against his will at the Milco head office in Colombo over an issue based on employee benefits.

Perera was released later following the intervention of the Police, reports revealed.
