Palestinian Ambassador Ihab Khalil met with Sri Lankan Foreign Minister Vijitha Herath on 2 June to discuss developments in Gaza and bilateral cooperation.

Ambassador Khalil thanked Sri Lanka for its longstanding support and its recent donation of $1 million to the Gaza Children’s Fund via UNRWA.

Minister Herath reaffirmed Sri Lanka’s commitment to Palestinian statehood and a two-state solution based on 1967 borders, aligned with the UN Charter and relevant resolutions.
