Private bus operators on the Horana–Colombo (Route 120) have withdrawn from service following a dispute.
The action began after an assault incident involving a private bus worker on the route, police said.
All buses stopped operating around 10.20 a.m. today (10), with drivers demanding the arrest of the suspect.
The assaulted driver is receiving treatment at Horana District Hospital, while Moragahahena Police are investigating.
Sri Lanka Transport Board (SLTB) buses have been deployed to maintain services on the route.
