The Colombo Crimes Division has recovered a revolver-type firearm from a deserted house in Sedawatta, Wellampitiya, based on information provided by organised crime suspect Kankanamage Dimuthu Chathuranga Perera, alias “Summitpura Chathu”.

The 28-year-old suspect was extradited from Oman to Sri Lanka on 18 August and is being held under a detention order.

The CCD had earlier recovered a revolver and 12 live rounds from a house in Mattakkuliya.
