CAA plans to expand awareness programs in 2026

09 Jan 2026 | BY Staff Writer

Following a record-breaking year in consumer education, the Consumer Affairs Authority (CAA) has announced plans to further strengthen and expand its awareness initiatives in 2026.

In 2025, the CAA conducted a total of 1,540 consumer awareness programs, the highest number ever achieved in a single year.

Through these efforts, officers directly reached over 120,000 individuals across all districts, educating them on consumer rights, fair trade practices, and market regulations.

Officials stated that the 2026 programs will place greater emphasis on early education among school students and increased engagement with traders, aiming to build a more informed, fair, and transparent marketplace.

Members of the public can obtain further information or lodge complaints via the CAA hotline at 1977.
