The Sri Lanka Navy rescued a 17-year-old who was found stranded on a sandbank off Talaimannar today (11).

The teenager had reportedly travelled from South India by boat and was spotted during a naval patrol by SLNS Thammanna.

He was provided with food, drinking water and temporary shelter before being handed over to Talaimannar Police.
