Prime Minister (PM) Harini Amarasuriya visited Meegahakiula National School in the Badulla District today (December 24) to inspect damage caused by Cyclone Ditwah.
Plantations and Community Infrastructure Minister Samantha Vidyarathna said discussions were held on the extent of damage to the school and plans to resume educational activities as soon as possible.
The visit was attended by Uva Province Governor Attorney Kapila Jayasekara, Deputy Minister of Youth Affairs Dinidu Saman Henanayake, the Uva Province Chief Secretary, provincial officials, teachers, students and local residents.
