Warrant Officer Samitha Dulan Kodithuwakku, who set a new world record of 67.03m and won silver in the Men’s F44 Javelin Throw at the 2024 Paris Paralympics, was presented with a new javelin by the Prime Minister (PM) Harini Amarasuriya yesterday (30).
The gesture, planned by Sri Lanka Army Sports Director Subhashini Niranjala Weerasinghe, was made in recognition of his outstanding achievements.
His coach Pradeep Nishantha also attended the event.
Samitha Dulan has an impressive track record, winning multiple gold, silver, and bronze medals in national and international para-athletics championships, solidifying his legacy as one of Sri Lanka’s top para-athletes.
