The National Dengue Control Unit (NDCU) says 75,321 dengue cases have been reported in Sri Lanka so far this year, with 843 new infections recorded on 18 July.
A total of 19,943 cases have been reported during the first 18 days of July, while the Western Province continues to record the highest number of infections with 39,667 cases.
The dengue death toll this year has risen to 53, with Gampaha reporting the highest number of cases, followed by Colombo and Matara.
