The Sri Lankan Government has increased the fees for registering companies and societies, according to a gazette notification issued by Trade, Commerce, Food Security and Co-operative Development Minister Wasantha Samarasinghe.
Under the revised fee structure, the registration fee for a private limited company has been increased from Rs 4,600 to Rs 5,200. The fee for registering a public limited company has been raised from Rs 23,000 to Rs 26,400, while the registration fee for an unlimited company has increased from Rs 17,250 to Rs 19,800.
The fee for company name approval has also been revised upward from Rs 2,300 to Rs 2,600.
