Sonal Dinusha earned his maiden test cap today (25), becoming the 170th player to represent Sri Lanka in Test cricket, as the second Test against Bangladesh got underway at the SSC Grounds in Colombo.

Dinusha, replacing the retired Angelo Mathews, was presented his cap by Kusal Mendis in a ceremonial moment before play began. Left-arm seamer Vishwa Fernando also returned to the XI in place of the injured Milan Rathnayake.

Bangladesh, who won the toss and opted to bat first, brought in Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Ebadot Hossain, with Jaker Ali and Hasan Mahmud making way.

Sri Lanka skipper Dhananjaya de Silva confirmed he will bat at No. 4 in the order as the hosts look to secure a series sweep.
