Sri Lanka will begin their campaign in the tournament curtain-raiser against hosts England in Edgbaston on 12 June. Prior to the opening match, the team will play two warm-up fixtures against Pakistan on 6 June and the Netherlands on 9 June, both in Derby.

Placed in a challenging Group 2 alongside England, defending champions New Zealand, the West Indies, Ireland, and Scotland, Sri Lanka face a demanding road to the knockout stages. However, the team arrive in England buoyed by recent successes, having secured impressive series victories over both the West Indies and Bangladesh.
