An eleven-member Chinese delegation, led by Wang Junzheng, a member of the 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and Secretary of the Party Committee of the Xizang Autonomous Region, arrived in Sri Lanka today(23).

The delegation arrived at about 9.45 am on a SriLankan Airlines flight.

The Chinese Ambassador to Sri Lanka and Minister of Ports and Civil Aviation Anura Karunathilaka were present to receive the group.

The Chinese Embassy said the visit aims to promote friendship, deepen mutual understanding and enhance practical cooperation between the two countries.
