Litro Gas Lanka will reduce the price of a domestic 12.5 kg gas cylinder by approximately Rs. 350, The Sunday Morning learns.

The State-owned Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) supplier yesterday (3) said that there would be a significant reduction in the prices of its products with effect from midnight today (4).

Speaking to The Sunday Morning, Litro Chairman and CEO Muditha Peiris said that the price of a 12.5 kg domestic cylinder would reduce by Rs. 350 to Rs. 400. According to Peiris, the move is expected to have a positive impact on consumers.

Currently, a 12.5 kg cylinder of LP Gas is priced at Rs. 3,638.

The price reduction is expected to provide some financial relief to households, allowing them to allocate their resources more efficiently.

The decision to slash prices comes as a welcome development for households and businesses that rely on LP Gas for their cooking and heating needs.

Attempts to contact the management of LAUGFS Gas PLC on price reductions of its LPG products following the announcement by Litro failed.
