The Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment (SLBFE) has warned of a human trafficking scam by a Sri Lankan abroad, offering employment in Moldova through social media videos.

Several people have already been defrauded after paying money to the suspect. 

Legal action is underway, and the public is urged to report similar cases.

SLBFE reminded that only licensed agencies can recruit workers or process passports for overseas employment. 

A special police unit has been set up to curb such scams.
