Sri Lanka’s Sajith Perera won three special awards at the inaugural edition of Mister Model Worldwide competition which concluded on 22 December, 2018 at City Park Resort in New Delhi, India. He was awarded the prestigious title of Mister Intellectual at the grand finale out of 16 countries. He was also named the First Runner up for the Best National Costume title and the Best in Talent title at the said competition. This is a special win for Sri Lanka as Sajith was the only candidate to get awarded in two major categories (National Costume and Talent) at the pageant. Sajith participated in the Mr. World Sri Lanka 2018 and won the titles of Mr. Sportsman personality and Best Runway model of the year. Lou Ching Wong, the national director of the Mister Model Worldwide Sri Lanka pageant recognised his talent and potential to represent Sri Lanka in the international pageant. Winning the Mr. Intellectual title was truly an honour and also it helped me to uplift my country among the top Southeast Asian countries, the competition was insane, but I’m grateful to God for guiding me to gain this title. Mr. Model Worldwide is one of the inaugural events that happened and I’m truly honoured to represent my country on the first edition of this event. Winning an international title is not an easy task for any person, as it needs lot of dedication as well as the knowledge to face each situation put before you.
