Citrus offers 150-room Waskaduwa resort to be used as quarantine facility

The Board of Directors of Citrus Group has offered the 150-room Citrus Waskaduwa resort to be used as a quarantine facility by the government on a temporary basis, should the need arise.

The decision has been taken in light of the country’s coronavirus crisis.

Occupancy levels across the Citrus Group have dropped drastically due to the crisis and will continue to drop further in the near future, The Board said.

The Board said  in the event the government decides to utilize the resort as a temporary quarantine cenre, it would be subject to disinfection keeping in line with international standards before normal resort operations commence.
