Biyagama Police have raided a counterfeit jewelry factory, Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana today stated. The counterfeit jewelry factory was located in the Atabewatta area in Walgama, Biyagama. The raid was carried out at around 11.00 am yesterday (26). Police have seized 13 gold plated necklaces, 4 gold plated gloves, 21 gold plated rings and several other items. Two suspects were also arrested with the equipment used to manufacture them. The arrested suspects are aged 48 and 53 and are residents of Malwana and Anuradhapura areas.
