The Experts Committee recently appointed to look into the methods of disposing the bodies of COVID-19 victims has decided that the bodies should be cremated, Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi said in Parliament today.
She emphasized the importance of making sure the virus is not spread by any means and added that there is no political, personal or religious agenda associated with this decision.
“Thereby, we aim to adhere to the clear decision of the Experts Committee and will continue to cremate the bodies of COVID-19 victims,” she stated.
