The Special Task Force (STF) arrested an individual in connection to drug-related offenses at the Grandpass area yesterday (12).
The 41 year old female arrestee has been identified to be the daughter of Karupayya Balan alias ‘Thel Bala’ who fled to India after committing several crimes in Sri Lanka, Police Media Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana said.
It was also noted that the suspect was found to have 50 grams of narcotics in her possession at the time of her arrest.
The Police Narcotics Bureau (PNB) is to carry out further investigations.
