A dead body has been found in a bag placed in Dam Street today afternoon, stated Police Spokesman DIG Ajith Rohana.
The pedestrians on the street had informed the Police regarding the bag and the Dam Street Police had reported to the scene.
The Spokesman said that a Magisterial Inquest is to be conducted on the body, followed by a post-mortem and further investigations.
